We're excited to welcome all people to the Oakland Museum of California's galleries and Garden. Our cafe, Town Fare by Michele McQueen, has reopened and is welcoming guests during regular Museum hours (Wed.- Sat. 11am-5pm and Sun from 11am-4pm (Features Brunch).

The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) is at 1000 Oak Street, at 10th Street, in Oakland. OMCA is situated between downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt.
Bike Parking
Free, on-street bike parking is available outside the Oak Street entrance to the Museum. Limited free covered bike parking is available in the OMCA Garage during garage hours, and on Oak Street Plaza, which is on the third level of the Museum, during Museum hours. OMCA is BARTable, conveniently located one block from the Lake Merritt BART station (between 8th and 9th streets at Oak Street). OMCA is at the corner of Oak and 10th Street. Parking
The OMCA garage is located at 1000 Oak St. with entrances on Oak and 12th Streets. Parking fees are $5 per hour with an early-bird discounted flat rate of $20 (in before 10 am, out before 5 pm). Those parking before 8 am and leaving before 10 am will pay the regular incremental rate.
Once you have parked, please enter through the Museum's main entrance at 1000 Oak Street via the stairway or ADA accessible ramp; signage will clearly indicate a one-way path of travel for entry and exiting the facility. Those who park in the OMCA garage with strollers or those who will need to utilize ramp access may enter through the Level 2 garage entrance where you will be met by an OMCA Visitor Experience Associate to assist with your ticket scan and health screening.
Members receive a discount with validation. ADA and families-with-stroller parking is available on the top level of the garage.
Additional parking is available at the Alco Parking Garage located at 165 13th Street at Jackson Street. Hours are subject to availability.
From the Oakland Airport and South Bay: Take 880 North into Oakland and exit at the Oak Street exit. Turn right on Oak Street and go four blocks to 10th Street. You'll see OMCA on your right, at the intersection of Oak and 10th Streets.
From San Francisco:
Cross the Bay Bridge and take 580 East to 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit; you will be on 5th Street. Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak to 10th Street.
From Walnut Creek, Orinda:
Take Highway 24 toward San Francisco and get on 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak Street.
From Livermore, Pleasanton:
Take 580 West toward San Francisco and get on 980 West/Downtown Oakland. Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak to 10th Street.
From Marin County:
Take the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to Highway 580 East. Continue on 580 East to 980 West/Downtown Oakland.Take the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street). Continue straight on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak Street). Turn left and continue on Oak Street.
From Berkeley and Sacramento:
Take Highway 80 to 580 East. Just past Emeryville take 580 to 980 West to the Jackson Street exit (you will be on 5th Street) Continue on 5th Street to the third stoplight (Oak), and turn left. Continue on Oak to 10th Street. Parking: Enter the Museum garage entrance on Oak Street between 10th and 12th streets. Parking is $3/hour for Museum visitors.
